PET THERAPY & WELLNESS
Paws @ Work & the Woodrock Cat Cafe
In 2023, Woodrock launched an exciting initiative: Paws @ Work - pet therapy for the corporate world! Who knew that our furry friends could have such a significant impact on our mental health?
This inspired us to consider that it’s not just dogs that offer mental health benefits, leading to the creation of our latest trendy spot, the Woodrock Cat Café.
So, who’s ready for a cup of coffee and some kitten cuddles?

EDUCATION
Our school tours, volunteer programs, and kennel sponsorships engage the community, while our Honours Wall recognises those making a difference, inspiring future advocates for animal welfare.

Woodrock, after nurturing a long-held dream, is truly fortunate to have a clinic onsite. This facility is dedicated to ensuring our furry friends stay healthy and happy while also allowing us to concentrate on our outreach missions, sterilisation efforts, and assisting more animals in need.

With our Paws @ Work program and the Woodrock Cat Café, we offer delightful experiences that promote relaxation and mental wellness, because a bit of time with our furry friends can make all the difference!

ADOPTIONS
Helping pets find their forever homes is what we love most! Through our foster program, Pop-Pup events, and Woodrock Thrift, we’re matching paws with people every day.
Founded in 1992 by the dynamic duo, Nicholas and Stella (Estelle) Meldau, their passion turned a dream into a fur-tastic reality!
Their unwavering passion drives us to stand up for homeless, abused, neglected, injured, and unwanted animals, empowering those who cannot speak for themselves and ensuring their stories are heard.
Because every furry friend deserves a fighting chance.
We are proud to be one of the oldest independent pro-life rescue centers in South Africa.

nestled on 8.5 hectares in the lovely Hennops River Valley, just southwest of Pretoria, on the 511, Plot 51.
